Nokia Location Tagger

Very cool, and its about time. The Nokia Location Tagger (beta) launched January 28, 2008. Check it out. This app "signals a small application running on S60 3rd devices that allows you to tag pictures captured from the Camera application with geographical coordinates from GPS."

To me this shows a trend and desire to display a persons presence from place to place - then (book)mark it or (place)mark it to share publicly of privately. I put up 50 bucks that all phone manufactures will have the option to do some type of social placemarking, very very soon. I feel that this shows that people are getting used to the idea of tagging or sharing location openly.
